At some point you just have to jump…

I did a THING! Watch the video or read below!

Hey y’all, welcome! I’m so excited to be here today. It’s the last day of July, and as we move into a new month, I feel a shift and a lot of excitement. I have something really special to share.

For those of you who are new here, welcome. My name is Tania, and this is “Honestly, I’m the Problem,” a space I created to share my journey of becoming and hopefully inspire and encourage you on yours. This is a safe space for all recovering perfectionists, people pleasers, self-sabotagers, and procrastinators. If that’s you, come on in and pull up a seat. I’ll go first.

The Journey of Creating Renew Journal

As part of my becoming journey, I’ve been working on a journal project specifically for mothers for several years. Yes, it’s been a multi-year journey—about four years. It’s amazing how shame tries to creep in, even in moments of celebration, making you feel like your efforts aren’t enough. But today, we’re silencing that shame.

I’m thrilled to officially share that the “Renew Journal” is published and in the final review.

Nothing like a little 2 am celebratory twerk. ;P

In just a few more days, these pages that I’ve been working on for so long will be available for you. If you are a mom or a caregiver, these pages are made specifically with you in mind.

This journal is the result of years of my own journaling, self-discovery, conversations with over 50 moms, focus groups, and surveys. Every word, every design, has been crafted with immense care.

Overcoming Perfectionism

This journey wasn’t easy. Perfectionism can be paralyzing, making every little thing seem like a dealbreaker. Whether it was margins, spelling errors, or wording changes, I kept finding reasons to delay. But two nights ago, my coach challenged me to prove to myself that I am worthy of being seen, that my work is worthy of being witnessed, even in its imperfections.

Perfection is not a requirement for your work to be in the world.

So, I did it. I published the journal at 1 a.m., and while there was relief, there was also fear. But I did it. I leaped, and I’m so immensely proud. This is just the beginning.

If you haven't seen the Jessica meme, it's hilarious (play till the end) and a perfect representation of me vs. my "waves" (perfectionism and overthinking). Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. Here’s footage me after pressing publish and then panicking because I realized I couldn't change anything else! Haha

Take the Jump!

I want to encourage anyone who’s mulling over their dream or project to take the jump. Trust that not only will God see you through the next step, but you can trust yourself to figure it out along the way. You won’t fall and hit the ground; you’ll leap from one step to another, landing safely each time.

What’s Inside ‘Renew’

The next time I come back, I’ll give you a tour of the inside of “Renew.” It’s more than just a journal—it’s a comprehensive guide to self-care and self-love. From self-talk to setting boundaries, every aspect of what it takes to truly care for yourself is unpacked in this book.

Thank you for being here, for your support, and for being part of this journey. If you’re a paid subscriber, I appreciate you so much. If not, thank you for being here as a free subscriber. I’m honored to have you all.

Stay tuned for the next update. Love y’all, and I’ll see you in the next one!

Peace.
